WATCH: Trump Publicly Rebukes Israel for Almost Torpedoing Iran Deal with “Vicious” Strikes in Beirut – “Without Me, There Would Be No Israel… Bibi Has to Be More Responsible”

President Trump on Tuesday rebuked Prime Minister Netanyahu and Israel for continuing hostilities amid peace negotiations during a meeting with the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
Trump was asked if the newly signed memorandum of understanding could survive if Israel continued attacks on Lebanon’s capital of Beirut.
“It can, and I consider that the minor war. Iran’s a big one, but we have that little pinprick out there that constantly rears its head, and that’s Hezbollah,” Trump said before blasting Israel for “fighting Hezbollah too long” and for killing civilians with indiscriminate attacks on apartment buildings.
“Israel’s fighting Hezbollah too long, and too many people are being killed, and you don’t have to knock down an apartment house every time you’re looking for somebody because there are a lot of people in those apartment houses, and they’re not all Hezbollah, that I can tell you,” he continued. “And I suggested to Israel to let Syria take care of Hezbollah because, to be honest with you, I think they do a better job of doing it.”
He further condemned Israel’s most recent attack in Beirut as the US and Iran were on the brink of a deal, telling reporters, “I didn’t like where two hours before we’re signing the agreement that there was an attack in Lebanon, in Beirut. It wasn’t like in the southern side, and you know, it was in Beirut. I did not like that. I let him know that I didn’t like it, not at all.”
“If Israel can’t do the job without killing everyone else… Syria will do the job,” Trump added.
When asked if he was frustrated with Netanyahu, Trump maintained that they have a “great relationship,” but referenced the Beirut attack again. “I saw that attack, I saw where that bomb went. Did you see what happened? That was not, that was a vicious, that was too much, you know? You can do too much also,” he said, noting that “Without the United States, there would be no Israel.”
“I’ve had a great relationship with Bibi, but now Bibi has to be more responsible with respect to Lebanon. Lebanon used to be a great country. It was a country where you had professors, doctors, lawyers; the great intellect was in Lebanon. Now it’s just, it’s terrible,” Trump continued.
Trump went on, lambasting Obama for the disastrous JCPOA, arguing that Israel is only still around because of Trump, seeming to imply that Netanyahu needs to be more grateful and obedient.
“If it weren’t for the United States of America with me, because Obama was the opposite, Israel would not exist right now. Israel would have been blown off the face of the earth, 100%, and every smart person in Israel knows that.”
WATCH:
Talks got derailed last week by fighting between Israel and Hezbollah, which led to the US and Iran trading strikes again. Israel attacked Hezbollah in Beirut again this weekend, leading to sharp blowback from President Trump, who had a profane response for Netanyahu. Trump condemned the strike in a public statement, later telling a reporter that he was “pissed.”
”Why did Bibi have to do a f*cking attack? I was so pisse[d] off. I let him know. He has no f*cking judgment. I let him know that,” Trump added.

Israeli newspaper Haaretz notes, “Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s rather transparent attempt to delay the signing of the agreement in the Gulf was not really successful.” It further notes, “The Prime Minister’s transparent attempt to demonstrate independence with Trump led to a day of renewed tension.“
But despite the near-sabotage of a deal, the deal was signed this week by Vice President JD Vance, Trump, and the Iranian Speaker of the Parliament. An official signing ceremony is scheduled for Friday in Switzerland.
