The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Minnesota has unsealed a federal indictment charging 15 defendants over their alleged roles in two Minneapolis-based Antifa groups that violently opposed the enforcement of federal immigration law during Operation Metro Surge.

Among those arrested is Kyle Wagner, who, as The Gateway Pundit previously reported, refers to himself as the “Antifa General.”

U.S. Attorney Daniel Rosen announced the charges during a press conference in Minneapolis, joined by Homeland Security Investigations.

Rosen said, “Today, a federal indictment was unsealed charging 15 defendants with conspiracy to impede or injure federal officers and other charges related to efforts of two Minneapolis-based ANTIFA groups that violently opposed the enforcement of federal law in our state.”

At least some of the defendants are reportedly connected to Direct Action Minnesota, an Antifa group.

The group has been active in anti-ICE actions, including calls for general strikes, protests, and support for those arrested during clashes.

Charges include conspiracy to impede or injure federal officers, solicitation to commit a crime of violence, interstate threats, interstate stalking, assault on a federal officer, and destruction of government property.

Of the 15 defendants, 12 were arrested on Tuesday during coordinated HSI raids, one was already in custody on separate charges, and two remain at large.

In February, 37-year-old Wagner was hauled out of a Minneapolis apartment building in a dramatic pre-dawn raid by heavily armed DHS agents after a series of unhinged social media rants where he urged his followers to arm up and “hunt,” “cripple,” and “prosecute at the barrel of a gun” ICE and CBP officers.

Operation Metro Surge, launched in December by the Trump administration’s Department of Homeland Security and ICE, represented one of the largest federal immigration enforcement operations in U.S. history and focused on the Twin Cities.

The operation targeted criminal illegal aliens, including gang members, sex offenders, and domestic abusers.

ICE reported thousands of arrests of individuals with serious criminal histories in the area.

The operation faced intense and violent opposition from activist networks, including Antifa-linked groups.

Protests occurred nearly daily outside the Bishop Henry Whipple Federal Building, which served as the ICE headquarters in the area.

Clashes involved protesters throwing objects, fireworks, blocking vehicles, and other tactics associated with “black bloc” or militant direct action.

Two agitators were fatally shot during separate confrontations, Renee Good and Alex Pretti.

In 2025, President Trump signed an executive order designating Antifa as a domestic terrorist organization, providing enhanced tools for the Justice Department to prosecute material support and related activities.

The Gateway Pundit will provide updates as more details from the unsealed indictment and court filings become available, including the names of defendants and specific allegations.
