Conservative Group Demands Restitution After SPLC-Inspired Terror Attack Indictment

The Gateway Pundit reported on Judiciary Committee hearings exposing how the far-left Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) worked in coordination with the Biden Administration to manufacture right-wing extremism.
The Committee revealed that “between 2014 and 2023, the SPLC allegedly funneled more than $3 million in donor funds to individuals associated with violent extremist groups like the Ku Klux Klan, the United Klans of America, and the National Socialist Party of America (American Nazi Party), among others.”
Further, their ‘Hate Map’ had real-world consequences.
In 2012, an LGBT volunteer carrying a bag of Chick-fil-A ‘goodies’ shot up the conservative non-profit Family Research Center (FRC).
The shooter, Floyd Lee Corkins II, allegedly said he found the Family Research Council on the SPLC’s list of ‘anti-gay groups.’
Tony Perkins, president of FRC, noted his organization was labeled a “hate group” in 2010 by the SPLC for claims it was an anti-LGBT organization.
Perkins recently told Fox News Digital that, while he does not want the federal government to shut down the SPLC, he hopes “they’ll be forced to pay restitution” for the harm he says they’ve caused.
FRC has had to pay $8 million out of pocket just for heightened security since the day of the shooting.
“So yes, they’re sitting on $750 million. Part of what I hope the government, the federal government, the courts get to is making them pay restitution to their victims.”
Despite Corkins saying that he was inspired by SPLC, a statement on their website following the incident was positively acrobatic in its efforts to twist the event away from their own culpability.
Their remarks note, “In an era when non-Islamic terrorism in America comes predominantly from the extreme right, it was a remarkable and unusual event: A man who was apparently sympathetic to LGBT people walked into the lobby of the anti-gay Family Research Council (FRC) in Washington, D.C., and shot a staff member who was standing guard.”
Watch Perkins describe the terrifying moments when a hate-inspired Corkins attempted a mass shooting event here.
