A Secret Service officer has been arrested for allegedly following a woman at a hotel near the Miami airport, and then masturbating outside of her hotel room. 

Per WSVN’s Sheldon Fox, Officer John A. Spillman was found by Miami-Dade deputies masturbating in a hotel hallway. He had allegedly followed a woman and forced her to retreat into her room, fearing for her safety. 

The US Secret Service told WSVN that Spillman had been in the Miami-Dade area “as part of the security screening detail at Trump Doral for the president’s visit.” He had not been part of Trump’s “details other [than] for perimeter security. He was off duty when arrested.”

He has been charged with indecent exposure. Doubletree Hotel security staff told the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office that Spillman had been spotted with “his pants lowered” on the 6th floor.

Per RealClearPolitics, the incident took place shortly after midnight on Monday. The arrest affidavit stated that the victim told police she had been in the hotel’s lobby when Spillman allegedly followed her and another person. She entered a room “because she was in fear for their lives.” The affidavit stated, “The victim saw the defendant masturbating next to their hotel room.” Spillman’s bail has been set at $1,000, and a hearing is set for May 27.
