At least five people were stabbed at Foss High School in Tacoma on Thursday, triggering a major emergency response and a full lockdown of the campus.

Tacoma police say four students and a school security guard were taken to hospital. A suspect was also hospitalized following the incident. Authorities have not released details on the suspect or the condition of those injured.

Police and first responders quickly secured the school as students and staff were kept inside during the response, FOX reported. The campus remained under lockdown as investigators worked the scene.
