NEW: Trump Says Settlement Reached With Iran – Deal Could be Signed This Weekend (VIDEO)

President Trump on Thursday announced that he made a “great settlement” to end the war with Iran and that it could be signed as early as this weekend.
Trump announced last month a “largely negotiated” framework and memorandum of understanding (MOU) with a 60-day ceasefire to continue negotiations and reach a final deal to end the war. However, talks got derailed by fighting between Israel and Hezbollah, which led to the US and Iran trading strikes this month.
After striking Iran last night and threatening to destroy Iran tonight, Trump now says that Iran is ready to make a deal– again. “We have a signing soon, and the documents are in pretty final shape,” Trump said, adding, “They want it every bit as much as everybody else wants it.”
“We should get it done over the next few days, probably have a signing, maybe in Europe, and it’s a great thing,” he said, noting that Vice President JD Vance and others will be there to sign. Trump is expected to travel to France next week to attend the G7 Summit from June 15-17.

Trump: We just made a great settlement of the war with Iran, and we’re going to be subject to finalization of documents. We should get it done over the next few days, probably have a signing, maybe in Europe, and it’s a great thing. The stock market’s up 1000 points. That means they like the deal. See, that means they like— the market goes down, that means they don’t like the deal, but it’s been up; oil’s dropped. Oil will start coming down to, I think, even lower than it was before. We had, I said, I was in Iowa, it was $1.85 a gallon, and I don’t know if I’m going to get there, but we’re going to get pretty close, going to come down, and when oil comes down, everything else comes down. And most importantly, we have a deal that Iran will never have a nuclear weapon, which was the whole purpose of what we had to go through to get this, so it was a big, very big thing.
But we have a signing soon, and the documents are in pretty final shape, so we’ll see, we’ll see, very good, should be done, and should be done pretty quickly. They want it every bit as much as everybody else wants it, and I think a lot of good relationships can ensue from this. I just spoke with the leaders of many of the countries that were mentioned in the release. I just spoke to Bibi, I spoke to great heads of nations, Qatar, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, and others, and we’re going to be talking to Turkey.
Trump went on to tell reporters that the signing of the MOU “will be soon, maybe this weekend,” further confirming that the Iranian Supreme Leader has approved the deal himself. Trump also said he would immediately lift the US Naval blockade on Iran, which will send oil prices “dropping like a rock,” he said. “They will not only not have, they will not purchase, develop in any way, any shape, in any way, shape, or form a nuclear weapon. They will not have a nuclear weapon,” Trump added.
When asked about past deals with Iran falling through and what makes the President so convinced that this agreement will stick, Trump claimed, “They want to make the deal a lot more than I do.”
“They’ve taken a pounding. They’ve taken a pounding like very few people could take, and they want to make the deal a lot more than I do, and we could have had it done the other way, I guess, but it would have taken longer,” Trump said.
He further stated that Iran’s “level of enthusiasm for getting it done” assures him that they’re sincere, adding, “We were hitting them very hard for the last three days. We we’re going to hit them even harder tonight. They knew that. We told them exactly what we were going to do.”
“Maybe it’ll be Saturday or Monday,” he said without confirming an exact timeline.

As The Gateway Pundit reported earlier, Trump announced on Thursday that he was canceling scheduled airstrikes and bombings against Iran after Iran approved the memorandum of understanding to extend a ceasefire and continue negotiations. “The Naval Blockade will remain in full force and effect until this Transaction is finalized — Time and place of the signing to be announced shortly,” Trump said.
Trump had announced earlier that the US would hit Iran again “VERY HARD TONIGHT,” adding that he plans to seize Kharg Island, Iran’s oil export hub, “in the not too distant future,” and “assume total control of their Oil and Gas Markets, much like we have with Venezuela.”
CBS reported that the memorandum of understanding could be signed by early next week.
