Maloy projected to survive primary challenge: AP

Rep. Celeste Maloy, R-Utah, was projected to survive a primary challenge on Tuesday evening.
The Associated Press called the race for Maloy at 10:36 p.m., with 58% of precincts reporting. As of press time, Maloy led with 69.3% to former state Rep. Phil Lyman’s 30.7%.
A relative moderate, Maloy faced a comparatively populist challenger in Lyman, though she was able to secure the endorsement of President Donald Trump on Monday, just ahead of the contest.
