China has agreed to purchase 200 Boeing aircraft, according to President Donald Trump, in what would represent a major commercial order for the U.S. aerospace company.
Trump made the announcement Thursday in an interview with Fox’s Sean Hannity after meeting with Chinese leader Xi Jinping.
“One ​thing he agreed to today, he’s going to order 200 jets … 200 big ones,” Trump said. “That’s a lot of jobs.”
Trump said Boeing wanted China to buy 150 of their jets, but China upped its purchase.
“A Boeing deal is good news for America—as one of the largest commercial aviation groups in the world, expanding to the Chinese market is a net positive for the U.S. economy,” said U.S. Sen. Steve Daines (R-Montana) in a post on X….
