Federal authorities say a Minnesota fraud suspect remains at large after fleeing an arrest attempt by jumping from a fourth-floor balcony during a morning operation.

FBI Deputy Director Christopher Raia said during a press briefing on Thursday that the individual was a target in an ongoing fraud investigation and escaped immediately after agents moved in.

“Before I begin my crux of my remarks, I need your help. On the screen, you will see a subject, you will see a subject depicted on the screen here, of an individual who was a target of the investigation this morning. That individual is currently on the run after having jumped out of a fourth story balcony. I want you to get a good look at him right now, you’ll see him running here. He is currently on the run. We need your help.

“If you recognize this individual, if you know this individual, if you can provide any information related to this individual, I would encourage you to call 1-800-CALL-FBI, C-A-L-L-F-B-I, or go to the internet at www.tips.fbi.gov or call your local law enforcement.” Raia said. He told viewers that the suspect was shown on screen during the briefing and confirmed he is currently on the run after the escape.

Video of the individual was displayed during the announcement and urged the public to assist in locating him.
