The creator of the television series Entourage has backed Spencer Pratt for Los Angeles Mayor, saying that the city needs to change. Doug Ellin has posted in recent weeks showing support for Pratt over incumbent LA Mayor Karen Bass, saying that the city he has called home has “collapsed in the last 5 years.”

He made the comments in a video post to Instagram. While walking out of his home, he pointed to a security camera and said, “One of 15 cameras that I now have at this house, two German Shepherds, three legal guns. Five years ago didn’t lock a door here, but you know what happened? Two animals invaded my house.”

“And no, I’m not racist, because they were wearing masks. I don’t know if they were white, I don’t know if they were Jewish, I don’t know if they were f*cking rabbis. I know they were animals, because they invaded my house,” he added. “I know I don’t care what their excuses are, like a lot of you f*cking care. I know invaders of home should get 20 years, but I’m not paranoid. So I don’t believe your bullsh*t about the stats and the crime, because everyone in my neighborhood has got the same problem. They’re f*cking all putting cameras and hiring security guards, because we’re all getting broken into. It’s not made up, it’s not false.”

“This city has collapsed in the last five years. There is no f*cking denying it, unless you have an agenda,” he added. Alluding to arguments against Pratt’s campaign, he said that people do not think he has experience in politics.

“What experience did Karen Bass have, or Rick Caruso, who we know can build things, who we know can fix problems. When you made sure he couldn’t win, so right now you’re putting people in the same position that you did with Trump,” he added.

He added that he did not want to get forced out of the city and added, “I’m one of the people who made this city look great. I did it for years. I glorified it.”

During the “Hot Mics with Bill Bush” podcast over the weekend, Ellin also said that even if Spencer Pratt is not the one to save LA, “what I can tell you is the status quo is destroying it and we need to try something different.”

Pratt is running as an independent against Bass as the incumbent for mayor as well as LA city councilwoman Nithya Raman, who has flanked Bass as being the more progressive option for mayor. Pratt has been making gains in polling and has made waves through viral campaign ads, consistently attacking Bass as well as Raman over the crime in the city and the destruction of the Palisades fires.
