“The View” host Joy Behar took aim at Jaxson Dart for introducing President Donald Trump at a rally in New York City, saying that the NFL quarterback meets “the definition of stupidity and racist” for supporting the president.

The hosts viewed the footage of Dart stepping out on stage in Suffern, New York, on Friday, led the crowd in a chant of “Go Big Blue,” and then introduced Trump. Initially, Whoopi Goldberg said that he is “entitled to his thing,” then Behar interjected.

“For somebody to back a guy like Trump—whose history and discrimination and racism goes back to housing discrimination in the 70s, DEI attacks, and posting pictures of the Obamas as apes when he’s on a team that’s 55 to 60 percent of the NFL is black—that is just the definition of stupidity and racist.”

Host Sarah Haines then said that because Dart is a “central player on that field” and a “leader” for his team, that she would have “handled it differently” than supporting Trump.

Behar later added that Dart should wear “extra padding” because he might get injured from other players in the league for supporting the president.

Dart, a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who grew up in Utah and played college football for the USC Trojans as well as the Ole Miss Rebels, was drafted as the number 25 overall pick for the 2025 NFL draft and plays as the quarterback for the Giants. However, after introducing Trump at the New York rally, some on the left have reacted in backlash against him, including one of his own teammates, Abdul Carter, who said in a post to X, “Thought this sh*t was AI, what we doing man.”

Despite the backlash, Dart’s jersey on the NFL website was marked as “most popular” in the wake of him introducing Trump at the rally.
