YouTuber and Twitch streamer Hasan Piker is facing a federal subpoena over his humanitarian trip to Cuba in March and he’s been speaking out about it and naming names on his livestream. Piker identified Neville Roy Singham, a Marxist activist and founder of a Thoughtworks IT, as supplying the bankroll behind the trip and other socialist political advocacy. 

Piker has been on the campaign trail with many Democrats and has been something of a leftist darling. In a recent interview with The New York Times, he advocated for shoplifting and said the murder of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson was basically justified in the Marxist framework that blames corporations for social problems.

The pro-China tycoon, he said, has been funding a “political movement” in the US. After exclusive reporting from Fox News Digital’s Asra Nomani about the administrative subpoena from the Treasury Department, Piker said that he believed the goal of the federal probe was to get to Singham. Nomani reports that “Singham has pumped $285M since 2017 into pro-communist nonprofits, including CodePink, which is also facing Treasury Department scrutiny for possibly violating sanctions against the Communist Party of Cuba.”

“I think that ultimately the target is probably Singham,” Piker said, “and his operation, from PSL [Party for Socialism and Liberation] to Answer Coalition to Code Pink, like anything that he has ever financed, and it’s not new, it’s been around for a while, but it’s obviously, it’s held through regardless, because like, it’s ridiculous, right? It’s like totally f*cking ridiculous to try to you know, to try and stop like the political advocacy of an American citizen.”

He went on to say “Roy Singham is an American citizen. He lives in China now and he’s a centi-millionaire, I think. He, like, has almost a billion dollars, not sure how much money he has now, but like he’s been a f*cking vehicle for a lot of like political, a lot of political movements in the country, like a lot of activism, and they hate that sh*t, like the American government hates that sh*t. So they’re trying to jam him up, you know, they’re trying to hit him on anything and everything they possibly can.”

As he continued in the stream, titled “FEDS ARE AFTER ME,” he said he has not yet been served the subpoena. 

Nate Friedman has also reported on Singham and his funding operations, saying that he’s paid one activist about $80,000 to protest in just one year. Friedman calls him a “CCP billionaire that needs to be looked at.” In a video, he cited the Progress Unity Fund, funded by the Tides Foundation, funded by George Soros. This is how massive leftist protests all have the same matching signs.

Piker joined Code Pink and others for a trip to Cuba in March. The team painted murals, brought humanitarian aid, partied at a resort while the rest of the island nation succumbed to a blackout, and proudly showed how they had gone around the US blockade of Cuba following the indictment and ouster of Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro. Cuba’s former president Raul Castro has been indicted for the downing of private US planes that were on a humanitarian mission to rescue migrants adrift at sea.

In his stream, Piker addressed Nomani, who has been seeking to interview him, and was watching his stream. A follower claims that this is “creepy as hell,” but Nomani pointed out clearly that “watching and studying a person’s written and spoken word at every opportunity — especially when the person doesn’t respond to a request for an interview — is not ‘creepy’ but a critical part of gumshoe reporting: understanding a person’s thinking, psychology and priorities.”
