Police responded to reports of an active shooter Saturday at Endeavor Health Swedish Hospital in the Lincoln Square neighborhood of Chicago, according to a report by the Chicago Sun-Times. 

Police and SWAT teams were dispatched to the hospital. Initial information indicated that two officers may have been struck by gunfire, though details are limited at this time. 

Alderman Andre Vasquez posted on social media that the “active situation” developed at around 11:30 am at Swedish Hospital and the 2600 block of W Winona, where multiple shots were fired and two officers were shot. Vasquez said one officer was in critical condition.
