All Baltic nations blame Russia for the Ukrainian stray drones.

Another day, another drone scare disrupting life in the Baltic nations.

Today, a drone attack (an ‘air danger’) alert was sent to citizens in Vilnius and in regions bordering Belarus.

Lithuanian government was taken to a bunker

A drone approaching from Belarus triggered a security alert in Lithuania. The president, prime minister, and speaker of the Seimas were urgently taken to shelters.

Euronews reported:

“Residents of Lithuania’s capital Vilnius briefly fled to underground shelters on Wednesday as transport ground to a halt after the defense ministry sent a drone alert to mobile phones.

Such alerts have become increasingly common in recent months in the Baltic states as Ukraine steps up strikes against Russian targets in the Saint Petersburg region, close to Estonia and Finland.”

BBC reported:

“President Gitanas Nauseda and Prime Minister Inga Ruginiene were taken to emergency shelters following the air alert, which ordered the city’s population to take cover.

Flights were suspended and road and rail travel briefly ground to a halt. The alert has since been lifted. It is not yet clear who was behind the incursion.”

Despite the BBC being doubtful, all these Baltic scares have been the result of Ukrainian drones going rogue because of Russian Electronic Warfare measures.
