New York City first lady Rama Duwaji‘s Spotify playlists containing anti-Israel songs and political titles was discovered on Thursday, according to a report published Wednesday by The Free Press.

One playlist tied to Duwaji’s account was titled “hungry but sexy for palestine” and included the song “Ana Bakrah Israel,” which translates to “I hate Israel.” Another playlist, “p2P Palestine 2 Pree-DC protest trip,” was reportedly created ahead of the March on Washington for Gaza held on Jan. 13, 2024.

Lyrics in one of the reported songs repeatedly state, “F–k Israel, Israel a bitch,” according to the outlet.

The Spotify account also reportedly contained a playlist titled “ACAB,” meaning “All Cops Are Bastards,” created during the summer of 2020 amid nationwide race and cultural riots causing billions in destruction following the death of George Floyd.

Following inquiries from The Free Press to City Hall, the Spotify account was reportedly made private. Duwaji, 28, is the wife of New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani. Her past online activity has faced increased attention since Mamdani, a democratic socialist and frequent critic of Israel, took office earlier this year.

Previous reports highlighted Duwaji’s social media activity following the Oct. 7 Hamas attack on Israel, including alleged likes on Instagram posts celebrating the assault and a post claiming rapes committed by Hamas against Israeli victims and hostages were a “mass hoax.”

Duwaji, an artist, had also been over older social media posts, including a 2015 statement saying Tel Aviv “shouldn’t exist in the first place” and describing residents there as “occupiers.” Separate reports also resurfaced a post from her teenage years in which she used a racial slur. She issued an apology in April for the “hurt” caused by prior online posts.

Mamdani has publicly defended his wife, saying she is a private individual and should not be subjected to ongoing public scrutiny over her social media history.
