GREEN BAY, Wisc. — A Wisconsin drag queen and DJ has been charged with possessing child pornography and multiple drug-related offenses.

Daniel Lieburn, 39, whose drag persona was “Diamond Day,” was charged Wednesday with one count of possession of child pornography and six drug-related counts. He was also known on 95.9 KISS FM as “Dan Brown” and served as the resident DJ and general manager at the queer XS Nightclub.

Lieburn made his initial court appearance the same day, and a judge set a $50,000 cash bond.

“Daniel Lieburn, known on air as Dan Brown, is no longer employed at Woodward Community Media,” a spokesperson told local media.

Lieburn also told authorities he had been the general manager of XS Nightclub in Green Bay. The nightclub said he is no longer employed there.

Lieburn was a part-time drag queen who was known for wearing a big blonde wig and sparkling evening gowns.

According to a criminal complaint by Brown County prosecutors, the sheriff’s office began investigating Lieburn after receiving an online tip in May 2025 about child sexual abuse material being shared through a Snapchat account. Investigators linked the account to Lieburn and executed a search warrant on April 28 at a home in Howard, Wisc., where he lives with his parents.

Authorities seized Lieburn’s mobile device, which was allegedly connected to the Snapchat account in question. According to the complaint, Lieburn admitted to having viewed and shared the video.

“I have been addicted to young, teenage boys since I was about 17 years of age,” Lieburn told investigators, according to the complaint. “I am sorry for what I have done. I believe I need some mental health help for my problem.”

During the search, investigators also reported finding prescription painkillers belonging to Lieburn’s mother and a former partner, as well as marijuana-related paraphernalia in his bedroom. Lieburn told authorities he had been taking the pills for pain related to an accident.

Lieburn previously served as president of the US Junior Curling Association, where he regularly worked with children and youth.

Lieburn is the latest drag queen to be charged with child sex crimes.

In March 2019, the Houston Public Library issued an apology after a Drag Queen Storytime performer was revealed to be a convicted child sex offender. Albert Alfonso Garza, a trans performer who used the drag name “Tatiana Mala Niña,” had a prior conviction for sexually assaulting an 8-year-old boy in Texas.

A second drag queen who performed at the Houston Public Library’s drag events was also revealed to have been convicted of sex crimes against children while a teen.

In 2023, central Pennsylvania drag queen and LGBTQ+ youth advocate “Anastasia Diamond,” real name Brice Williams, was convicted of 10 counts of child pornography.

In 2024, Salem, Ore. drag queen “Stella Mess,” real name Eron David Griffin, was charged for allegedly sexually abusing minor teen boys who went to his barber shop.

Lieburn remains in custody. A judge has banned him from having further contact with minors and from social media platforms. He is scheduled to return to court May 28.
