Jimmy Kimmel 2 days ago: Melania has ‘a glow like an expectant widow’

On Thursday night, just two days before the nation would see the third attempt on President Donald Trump’s life, late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel delivered a fake White House Correspondents’ Dinner speech, saying that First Lady Melania Trump has the “glow of an expectant widow.”
Cole Allen, a teacher and game developer from California, was arrested on Saturday night at the Washington Hilton with an array of firearms and knives. He opened fire near the security checkpoint outside the ballroom where the dinner was taking place. Social media posts reveal that Allen was aggressively anti-Trump. A Secret Service agent was shot, though he was protected by his bulletproof vest, and Trump and Melania were quickly escorted to safety.
As Kimmel delivered himself of his anti-Trump diatribe, he took a moment to pillory the First Lady. “And of course, our First Lady Melania is here. Look at her, so beautiful. Mrs. Trump, you have a glow like an expectant widow.”
The audience laughed and he paused before going on. “You know, Melania’s birthday is on Sunday. That’s right, she’s planning to celebrate at home the same way she always does, looking out a window and whispering, ‘what have I done?’
“As you’re all aware,” Kimmel went on, “Melania is a movie star now. Her documentary had a score of 10% on Rotten Tomatoes, which is a website named after her husband’s testicles.
“And I want to congratulate you, Madam First Lady, on your huge accomplishment, the world’s first motionless picture and that, oh, by the way, before we go any further, ‘Melania, this is Donald. Donald, this is Melania.’ That’s my impression of Jeffrey Epstein.”
This isn’t the first time Kimmel has falsely linked Melania Trump to Epstein. Earlier this month, she spoke out to say that she was never a victim of the disgraced, deceased financier, and slammed the lies about their alleged relationship.
“The lies linking me with the disgraceful Jeffrey Epstein need to end today,” she said. “The individuals lying about me are devoid of ethical standards, humility, and respect. I do not object to their ignorance, but rather, I reject their mean-spirited attempts to defame my reputation.”
“To be clear, I never had a relationship with Epstein or his accomplice, Maxwell,” she said, later adding, “I am not Epstein’s victim. Epstein did not introduce me to Donald Trump.”
In September, after conservative commentator and thought leader Charlie Kirk was publicly murdered, Kimmel both joked about his killing and made false statements about the suspect. In response, his show was taken off the air for a short time before he was returned to his regularly scheduled broadcast time. Many Democrats shouted censorship and complained about Kimmel’s brief hiatus from late night.
